Chasing Ghosts by Paul Rieckhoff
Overview
Chasing Ghosts by Paul Rieckhoff is a story of his experience in Iraq. It's an eye-opening account of what's going on abroad. He points out the flaws in the current strategy along with the embarrassing shortcomings in regards to supplies. One bottle of water per day for soldiers at one point? Wow.
The Good
- It's a great read that provides significant insight into the battle
- It also provides a humanistic look at Iraq, the people, and what some of these missions might be doing to provoke hatred
- There's virtually none unless you are adverse to hearing constructive criticism on the war; I suppose I could add I noticed a typo or two in the first edition
Chasing Ghosts is a great read. It'll provide you with significant insight into the current situation in Iraq.
